Boy Scout Troop #79 Calendar for January through August 2016

January

Meetings…(Wednesdays) 6,13,20,27 at Summerville Presbyterian Church 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

23^rd (Saturday) Cub Klondike at Camp Eastman – Irondequoit … this is optional. I am running the snowshoeing event from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM and would welcome anyone who wants to work with the younger kids that day.

February

Meetings… (Wednesdays) 10^th at Summerville Presbyterian Church 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

3^rd (Wednesday) Howard Beye Invitational Competition at Troop 37 Meeting. 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM

17^th (Wednesday) 7PM meeting at Harry’s house – final details of Adirondack trip and check equipment.

19^th-21^st (Fri-Sun) Adirondack Mountain Snowshoe Hike – Ampersand Mountain 3352 ft. Cost will depend on how many are going. Probably between $60 - $85 each person.

24^th (Wednesday) Swim night with Troop #37

27^th-28^th (Sat-Sun) Ski Trip Overnight at Swain Ski Resort – Cost: $39.00 includes unlimited skiing on Saturday and 4 hour skiing on Sunday with equipment rental both days and a lesson on Saturday morning. We will sleep overnight in the main lodge. Bring a sleeping bag.

March

9^th (Wednesday) Troop Meeting…$100.00 due for Massawepie, Go over details for Gettysburg.

12^th (Saturday morning) Scouting for Food – pass out bags and day activity (to be planned)

19^th (Saturday morning) Scouting for Food – pick up full bags

31^st- April 3^rd (Thurs-Sun) Gettysburg Family Trip – Cost yet to be figured (less than $100) Details to follow

April

Cost: (Paid by April 27^th) $355.00 per scout, $200.00 per adult

(Paid by May 18^th) $385.00 per scout, $200.00 per adult

(After May 18^th) $400.00 per scout, $200.00 per adult

Important Massawepie Dates… March 9^th - $100.00 deposit due for camp

2^nd Year Webelos are invited to visit and take part in any meeting or activity. Please let us know when you plan to visit so we can have troop info and photos available.
