On Monday, we went to Braddock Bay to have a picnic lunch, go paddling out on the bay and through the passage ways in the cattails, and go swimming. Unfortunately, the weather turned cold and rainy so we skipped swimming and went back to the house for games.
On Tuesday, we did our 12-mile bicycle treasure hunt. We got to see the big cement ship docked on the Genessee River at Turning Point. We also saw the Charlotte-Genessee Lighthouse and rode the Merry-go-round at the beach. Then we swam, built sand castles, and chased the gulls down the beach.
On Wednesday, we went to Ellison Park to search for treasure with the GPS. We hiked through the woods, up and down big hills and played along the creek. Later we played a round of disc golf before returning home.
Thursday to Friday, we camped at 4-Mile Creek State Park where everyone got to cook and eat good food and play. We played down by the lake until sunset and then had a campfire before bed.. The next morning we packed up and went into Niagara Falls for half a day before returning home.
