On Monday, we started on our bicycle treasure hunt and managed to find the first 3 clues and then Harry had a flat tire. He took a few minutes to repair it and we started towards the next clue only to have another flat tire in the same wheel a few minutes later. We walked back to the house and had lunch. Then we put the bikes away and finished our treasure hunt in the van. We ended up at the beach for a ride on the merry-go-round and swimming.
Tuesday found us driving down to Naples to do an adventurous hike up Conklins Gully which included climbing a bunch of waterfalls. We spent most of the day there including a quick stop at Grimes Glen which was closed so we drove back home.
On Wednesday, we packed the trailer and took off east to Oswego to visit Fort Ontario before going to Fairhaven Beach for our overnight camping trip. We explored every part of the fort. We even found this volunteer who was very enthusiastic and graphic when describing the horrors of war. After dinner we went to the beach for a quick swim, some sand castle / hole building and a beautiful sunset.
Thursday was pretty relaxing with some canoeing and fishing and plenty of good food.
Friday morning, after a good breakfast, we packed up camp and drove to Chimney Bluffs to walk the beach, skip stones and collect some pretty stones before getting home.
