On Monday we went canoeing and kayaking on Braddock Bay. We played some hide and seek with the boats in the many channels through the cattails before having a picnic lunch in the park and playing on the playground. It was hot so we finished the day with some time at the beach for swimming and building sand castles at the beach before returning home.

On Tuesday, we went on our 12 mile bicycle treasure hunt, searching for hidden clues along the way. We followed a side trail through the woods to see where it led, then rode over the awesome bridge that curved around Turning Point in the Genessee River, stopping to see turtles sunning on the logs below. We made it to Ontario Beach Park where we rode to the end of the pier, found some clues and had lunch. Afterwards, we stoped at the Charlotte Lighthouse and then made our way home to figure out the secret message written at the bottom of each clue and got our treasure. There was still time to go back to the beach for swimming before going home.

On Wednesday, we went to Ellison Park to look for some geocaches. We Hiked up and over the steep hills in the park, looked unsuccessfully for geocaches, stopped to make sailboats from bark, sticks and big leaves to sail down Irondequoit Creek and headed back to the cars. We drove over to the Disc Golf course and played a few holes and finished the day at the beach.
On Thursday, we loaded the trailer with all our gear and food and took off for Cayuga Lake State Park for the overnight. We arrived at camp, set up tents and kitchen area and had lunch. Then we drove south along the lake to the Cayuga Nature Center to check out the awesome 6-story treehouse. After exploring all the secret passages and playing hide and seek for a while, we turned towards camp, making a quick stop to see Taughannock Falls. Back at camp we played some, made dinner, built a campfire and roasted marshmallows for smores and went to bed around 10:30 PM.

On Friday we woke, cooked breakfast, cleaned up, packed up and headed for home. We made a stop in Powdermill Park at the fish hatchery to check out and feed the fish before returning home. There was time to swim so we went to the beach but it was closed so we returned to home and set up the slip-and-slide for some wet fun.
