On Monday we went to Ellison Park and first did some snowshoeing followed by some Winter Olympics games like "Snowshoe Race", "Snow Run Race", "Obstacle Course" and "Snow Angel Making Contest". Each event had a medal ceremony. Then we went sledding at the BIG sledding hill before returning to home. The weather was beautiful all day.

Wednesday started with freezing rain and sleet so we spent most of the morning indoors, playing games. Around lunch time the rain turned to big, beautiful snowflakes so we went out to play in the snow house and climb on the big snow pile. Some of the kids wanted to have a snowman building contest to earn more medals. We built a campfire and cooked hot dogs on sticks over the fire. The snow turned back into rain, so we headed back indoors for more games, a movie and popcorn.

On Thursday, it was cold again so we went to Durand Eastman Park to do a treasure hunt that Harry had set up over the weekend. It involved hiking through the deep snow through the park looking for hidden clues. We had a map that showed the location of each clue in the park within about 50 feet. Part way through the hike, sme of the kids got cold or tired so Tammy took them back to the start while the rest of us forged on to find the clues. Then it was back to the house to warm up and have lunch. After lunch, some of the kids opted to watch a movie or play games while the rest of us went outside to play in the snow.
