We had planned on riding from the church out to Spencerport and Northampton Park which would have been about 18 miles 1-way. However, the weather didn't look promising so we drove part way out to Henpeck Park to begin riding from there. As we were driving, a powerful rainstorm came down upon us and everyone agreed that riding bikes through the rain would not be fun. We got to Henpeck Park and waited for the rain to stop. After a quick check of the weather radar, we headed out along the canal for the last 10 miles to Northampton park. Arriving, we set up camp, cooked dinner and then drove into Brockport for ice cream before returning to camp to sit around the fire before going to bed. In the morning, we packed up and rode back to Henpeck park before loading the bikes on the trailer and driving home. The ride completed the last requirement for the camping merit badge.
